Blythe has been building roads and bridges in North and South Carolina for nearly a century. Our projects include traditional bid build as well as design-build projects for the North Carolina DOT, South Carolina DOT, and many municipalities.

Blythe Construction is one of the Carolina’s leaders in production of high-quality hot mix and warm mix asphalt. Our services include public and private works as well as hot mix sales to our FOB customers including a range of services from asphalt removal and replacement to asphalt for new construction to emulsion sales and services. Blythe is no stranger to rail work. Several of our crews hold the necessary rail safety certifications to work on railroad right of way. Our crews have built rail beds and structures for Norfolk Southern, CSX, and private entities like Duke Power.
Blythe has constructed many airport projects over the years. These projects include construction of a tunnel under a runway at the Greensboro Airport, installation of a crash cushion at the end of the runway at the Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CDIA), the new entrance roadway and bridges for the CDIA, and several resurfacing projects at the CDIA and Concord Regional Airport.
